ADF paid for itself!

Post by Spike Country »

I had just cocked my M330 and when i tilted it up to load an arrow one of my baby buggy bumpers slid out due to a loose set screw. So I put it down and snugged the set screw. All along while talking to my neighbor who was checking out the M330. Still talking i raised her up and TUNG!! :( I was puzzled for a second then realized my $65 investment just saved me a big head ache.

Has anyone else tested there ADF?

Thanks, nothing like showing the neighbor how all the equipment on the bow works. "No really... I meant to do that!"

I think the ADF is a great piece of equipment and I will be the first to admit I didn't want one until I tried it out on my 355...Gives me a great since of safety and it has saved me a few times

Don't worry, you had all the essential elements there, distraction after cocking, doing it in front of a witness, the embarrassment that follows. You would have got bonus points if your string actually flew off but don't worry, you're young with lots of shootin' years ahead of you yet. It'll happen, maybe not with this bow but it'll happen. We'll teach you the secret handshake when we're down next May.

That ADF has saved my M380 a half dozen times and the M380 I was setting up for a friend twice. Problem is extreme focus on the shot. Sure glad to have the ADF!

Well... I "officially" joined the Dry Fire club earlier today with my 355 (No ADF on it either).

Was shooting and dialing things in when after cocking her and flicking the safety on, I noticed that my scope was loose and wobbling up and down. Took a closer look and the screws connecting it to the TT were loose. Thought ok..that would explain a few things POI wise that was happening.

Figured ok, Ile shoot the arrow in her and re-tighten everything up after.

Put her up on the tri-pod, flicked the safety off, relaxed, squeezed the trigger and went WT BLEEP!!!!! was that sound right after firing because the sound was def not an arrow hitting my spyderweb target.

Then it hit me, I just Dry Fired!

Took a deep breath and braced myself for the worse.

Well.. between Danny Millers Baby Bumpers and Boos string/cat whiskers she "survived" I double checked the limbs front, back and top and bottoms and nothing, the string seemed fine and the Baby Bumpers looked like they took the brunt of things but also survived.

I then proceeded to shoot about two dozen times and she still looks, sounds etc good to go.

Do I consider myself lucky? Heck yes!

Do I ever want to hear that sound again? Heck NO!!

Still cant believe I forgot to load an arrow and then proceed to aim and fire. UGH!!
