That scope is a target killer, Leupold VXR Hog Plex Reticle

Post by tremps01 »

Monday I receive my new Leupold scope from Craig (Easthill Outdoord). I put it on the HHA Optimizer rail, i had to fix a problem with elevation. This morning i was ready to shot and it was really amazing. Like Boo, Normous and Poulaboutform before me, i highly recommnd the VXR.
I used only 2 arrows because those one shot same hole with each 3 differents vanes. I shot them only to set scope and HHA. I don't use it to practice or hunting ( too precious)
Here my set up.

Matrix 380
Leupold VXR push-button illumination system and FireDot Pig Plex reticle 1.25-4X30 mm.
BOO string
Level
Trigger(Boo)
HHA Optimizer
Brace height 1/4 inche between rubber and string
18'' BE Zombie/ 92gr. brass insert/ 100 gr. fieldpoint/ nock 29 gr.G5 Arrow Squaring Device/ 2" Blazer vane using the crossbow Arizona E-Z Fletch helical right. Total weight 404 gr. ( make them with Big John's advice)

SEW wrote:That's below MOA! To answer my question on another thread(Opinions Please), you've helped. Your groups are tighter than mine, so far. My Blazers are helical resulting in quite a bit of spin. I'm wondering if plain offset might be more accurate if a lot of stabilization isn't needed as might be the case with a # of broadheads. Using FOCs , I don't expect much front end steering.
That's great shooting!

I shoot 3'' feathers with no issues, 3 blazers 18grs, 3 feathers 6grs, sure changes the foc you can play with different weights up front. Maybe give them a try.

WOW! Marcel, that is AWESOME shooting! Very impressive indeed. Great job, I'm very happy for you...and very worried for those poor moose.

Wow!!! I spend some time each fall at the local shooting range adjusting rifles and giving tips to shooters on how to improve their shooting. Very very few of them can shoot as accurately and consistently as "tremps" with his crossbow. I'm talking about the same distances too.
