I have an opportunity to possibly take my Matrix 380 on an elk hunt. It would be for a mature cow elk. Not looking to pay big $$ for antlers I could barely fit on the wall.
Is my m380 armed with BEE (284 gr?) tipped with an appropriate 100 gr BH going to be sufficient or do I need to rethink my arrows??

That is MORE than enough bow for elk. I would stick with a fixed blade broadhead. I would lean towards a Stinger broad head.

Can yer outfit kill cow elk, yes. Good fixed BH an over 400gr arrow weight would be good fer momentum!

Shot placement is the key no matter what set up you use, the 380 will blow thru her, good luck.

I'm not overly worried about the bow, rather my concern was whether I needed to think about different (heavier) arrows.

COC bh as aging mention. the matrix bows don't really care what you run down the rail, just stay over 350grs, 370grs to 380 works best for me.

2219 tipped with a bolt cutter out of an Equinox landed us #26 in the ontario crossbow record moose, shot at 10 yd's blew straight through and never found the arrow. Medium sized bull moose taken the following year with a phoenix / firebolt/ wasp boss at 20 yd's blew through him as well 30 yd recovery I'll be using 390-400 gr.( still working on arrow combination's ) out of my 380 this year for moose. So as Norm mentioned your GTG !
