Did I ruin my bow limbs?

Post by nodeal »

I went shooting yesterday and accidentally left my bow cocked for about 36 hours. Should I be worried?

X2! Just let it down, and reset your brace height if needed.

Put your brace height where it is needed and shoot the bow. If the OPI (point of impact) has not changed significantly then Bob's your uncle.

No worries I do this all the time when I put on a new string to help stretch it faster. Sometimes I will leave it for a week no problems..

Well I was one to leave my bow cocked for about a week or so, I forgot one day when I came back from a hunt in early winter. It had no effect to my bow, it was dead on still and is still dead on.
