Which Matrix for hunting?

Post by BrotherRon »

I'm thinking the 330 would be the best option for bowhunting whitetail deer ?
It was designed with the hunter in mind right?
Or are they all about the same except for the 310 & 330 being smaller and lighter?

Thanks
Ron.

I feel the Matrix 355 is perfect, but it even has reserve power for my 30 yard maximum range deer kills.

I shot my first crossbow deer in 2012 with my brand new Excalibur Equinox. The large adult white tailed doe was harvested at 25 yards. My 400 grain 20 inch Firebolt Boltcutter tipped arrows passed through her lungs and dug 6 - 8 inches deep into the soil.

When in 2013 the Matrix series came I was happy to sell my Equinox in order to purchase my Matrix 355. I knew I didn't need anymore speed. I now shoot a 470 grain 18 inch Easton 2219 aluminum tipped with a 170 grain NAP Thunderhead. Slow and heavy in the key for me.

The trajectory and speed of the 380 made it my choice. Try them all and decide, but my 380 drives tacks out to 90 yards.
