Personally , I like the Leupold Crossbones . It'll be the last scope you ever have to purchase !

This is a short range game.

I prefer an NCSTAR D4B reflexive red dot.

Shoot with both eyes open.

Using the starburst reticle, depending on the speed you are shooting, you get three aim points 8-10 yards apart.

And, not being "magnified", usable in area restricted from using "telescopic" sights.

You simply can't go wrong with a Leupold. It will be my next scope as soon as they put a illuminated reticle in their crossbow scopes. Until then, I will stick with my Hawke XB30.

Leupold!
I have a VXII 1-4x20 on my Phoenix.
For my hunting there is no need for multiple aiming points. I sight in the crosshair at 25 yards and keep all shots on deer at under 30yards. Just hold on the center of the lungs & shoot. Never lost a deer yet with that method and a Leupold on the Phoenix.

I'll stay with my Burris, more forgiving than any scope I've ever looked thru, just as clear glass or better than what's been mention, also has the 4-ever warranty, to each their own happy hunting.

X2. I love my crossbones but you dont need to spend that much for a Leupold. Their warranty is forever but you wont need it. The 1-4x are small and light, the 2-7x are a bit bigger with some more magnification. The VX-I's are fine scopes. You can find a VX-I for a little over a hundred bucks if you watch closely, so its not much more than a Vari-Zone. jmo

Leupold without a doubt. No illumination required. Leupold's low light clarity is superior during those last few minutes of the legal hunting day.
