New member to EXCALIBUR and the forum

Post by motorcycle »

Just wanted to introduce myself, after a very, very long absence from Xbows I picked up a second hand Pheonix from a forum member (Farmer) yesterday and am looking forward to getting back into some target shooting locally where I live (Barrie).I`m sure I`ll have some questions along the way and I expect I will get some helpful advice/tips/hints via the forum members.

Welcome! I've been shooting a Phoenix for years. I still think it's Excal's best all around bow.

Welcome to the forum.

The Phoenix is a very decent bow if you don't need the "latest/greatest".

I shoot a Vixen II - just can't see parting with a grand or more for a shiny new model.

If you are worried about the slower speed, you can use my trick. Even though I'm barely making 270 fps after I fire I yell at the deer "IT'S COMING AT YOU AT 350"

The Phoenix is what I use. It might be outdated, but it still kills deer!

Welcome! You'll love that Phoenix!

Don't worry about keep up with the speed demons. I shoot an old brown Vixen and it still does just fine alongside faster bows.
