Sure missing my Equinox and bow hunting

Post by mb5200 »

Well due to my disability and finances I had to sell bow this spring, The first part of bow only season has come and gone here in BC and it was hard sitting here not able to hunt.
I am going to replace my Equinox with the Axiom one of these days, for two reasons, price and I'm thinking it will be easier on the body.
Any input good and bad would be appreciated

Axiom shoots great for me. Still need to retrieve it from dads house but brought it there in two pieces, bolted it together and went to shoot off his second story deck. Debated range to deer target and stuck with my estimate of twenty yards. Arrow went right where it was aimed and dad then had the opportunity to try to remove it. The Axiom does what it was intended to do and does it very well.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure where in BC you are but if you're on the coast check out Boorman archery in New Westminster. They get some used excals in now and then. There are occasionally some great deals on the trading post as well and explaining your situation I'm sure a fellow forum member would be able to help you out. What a blessing that would be for everyone. :D

MB,
Where are you located? I would lend you my Beast as my freezer is now full and then some. Only caveat would be that you have to pick it up and drop it off. She's a good girl and always hits what I aim at. The quiver is loaded with boltcutters and luminocks. All I ask is that you replace what you break. I have a vert compound as a backup that I have been itchin to use, so I wont be left wanting. Just payin foreward for all the stuff that the great members here have done for me over the years since I joined this awesome forum. Think it over, :D

Thank you for the very generous offer Hankenhunter but I'm in the north cariboo.
I couldn't pull the Equinox any more, I'm only allowed to lift/carry 5lbs max but it's impossible to live by that strictly. Even going down to the 150lb pull I may need to get the hand crank.
The guy that bought my bow lowballed me so much I'm too embarrassed to say how much but I kept all my extra stuff, I still have a couple packs of boltcutters, lumenocks, dyna string and a few other odds and ends.

Great news! :D I'm really happy to hear that. The Cariboo region is certainly game rich. Best of luck to you. :D
