Matrix 310 review Update

Post by BrotherRon »

Shot around 30 arrows with my M 310 Sunday afternoon. It will work well for deer hunting and target shooting. I have no trouble cocking it or making string changes or adjustments. At 50 yards I was holding a 4 inch pattern, and at my normal range of 30 yards it is very accurate. I am still working on the fine tuning though. Its a sweet crossbow and I know it was the right choice for me. Plenty enough speed for me, deadly accurate, and very limited noise or vibration.
At my age and previous back surgery the M 310 is a perfect fit. I was originally going to get a Vixen ll until I started reading up on the new Matrix line, and I may eventually get a good used Vixen ll for a back-up.
Overall review..... "Awesome crossbow"

No matter which Matrix is chosen, as long as it's an Excalibur, you can't go wrong.

I've never owned an Excalibur that shot faster than 305 fps, and still managed to put deer in the freezer for many years now.
The 310 will get the job done if you do your part!

Well, I have over 100 arrows through her now.
I gotta say she is deadly accurate out to 30 yards anyway.
At 20 yards dead center of a tack size bullseye.
At 30 yards I'm hitting the left edge of the bullseye.
At 40 yards I can can still hit my arrows :( but I'm drifting left about 3/4"
At 50 yards I am holding groups the size of a silver dollar but 1" to 1 1/2" left.
It should be noted that the 40 and 50 yard ranges requires precise attention to string stretch.
I'm not sure if I can get her much better than that, but it's perfectly good enough for me to bow hunt with. Most of my shots in the woods are 18 to 25 yards with a couple spots that I can shoot 30 to 35 yards.
This is my first crossbow and I am thoroughly impressed with it.
