"The Arra of My Ways"

Post by amythntr »

....so after having finally christened the M380 (Jelly Belly) with its first kill on Saturday I am now left with a wounded and bloodied arra   ...One vane is missing... my wrap is a little ripped where the vane came off...my Spitfire, ah my poor little Spitfire...a blade is bent (hit shoulder bone or rock after pass through as i found it in the ground) and the point is not pointing...

Do you guys (gals):

1. Keep your first arra "as is" as a memento of the experience?,

2. Refletch and change out the BH?,

3. Refletch and change blade and sharpen up BH (spin testing of course),

4. Other

Bear in mind that I know you inspect the arra and make sure there are no cracks/splits....

Just looking for some advice on the "arra of my ways!"

Anthony :)

Your choice Anthony. I say keep it as is. You've got plenty of arrows, the broadhead has already paid for itself, and you'll like the momento of your first crossbow casualty. :D Two weeks later my zombie is probably just starting to slow down in the dirt NOW!

Agree - put her up on the "trophy wall".

If you weren't a Hunter, this is what your wall might look like

#2 or #3 works for me. No need in junking a good arra just due to a missing vane.
