Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Finally a bit of good news...Shannon is still in ICU but they upgraded him to stable condition this morning and he's able to sit up some and is talking a little. As you can imagine he's in a world of pain though. He's a long way from being out of the woods, the threat of infection from bacteria released into his system from his intestines is still there, and he still has a bullet lodged near his heart, but he's making progress and that's all we can hope for.

The last couple days Shannon had fluid building up around his lungs and had trouble breathing but that is getting better, and he continues to improve. Today he was moved out of ICU and into a regular hospital room, and they have him up and walking some and he is gaining strength. GREAT NEWS!! Thank you all so much for the continued prayers and thoughts and well wishes.
