Prayer request for a fellow hunter

Very bad news... yesterday afternoon one of the guys in our club was checking his cameras and doing a little scouting. Somehow his .41 caliber magnum revolver either fell out of his holster or fell off his 4-wheeler while he was riding it, anyhow the gun went off when it hit the ground, and the hollow-point him in the leg and traveled up the length of his leg, through his torso and the bullet is still lodged just under his heart. He's alive but in intensive care and in rough shape. They took his gall bladder out, part of his colon, and sections of his small and large intestines. He's too weak to withstand surgery to remove the bullet at this point, but Lord willing he'll get well enough to have that surgery later. The shot knocked him off his 4-wheeler but believe it or not he was able to get back on it and ride back to his truck, load it up, and drive to a farm down the road to call for help, at which point he was med-flighted out. Talk about one tough dude, wow!
This is his 2nd year in the club, he has a wife and family, he brings his young son with him hunting quite often, and is a real nice guy. Lots of times he and I would be the only two on the club and we've talked a lot and became friends. His name is Shannon, and on behalf of him and his family I'm asking you all to please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Lord, You promised us that You would be with us as we gather in Your name to pray for this gentleman...suffering through this horrific accident. We ask that you give him the strength (Your Strength) to hold on and we ask that you give the doctors and surgeons the wisdom to make decisions as to what needs to be done.

Lord, watch over him and his family as they deal with this terrible situation. May Your Name be glorified in this.
