I just ordered a 1200 myself for myself (really early Christmas present ). A couple of the biggest reasons for my upgrade from the bushnell was the size and the red lighted display. When I need it I always seem to have a hard time seeing the info which makes me wonder why I am even carrying it.

I was going to jump on that Cabelas sale too but found the 1200 at optics planet for an extra $30 and figured what the heck may as well get the new one.

It does really well in low light conditions. I have even used it at night on a bright moon. Only negative that I can think of is that the LED is a little bit brighter than I would like. Even on the lowest setting. Overall it's a great unit. I paid a lot more than was posted in this thread.

Bought one last year and love it. Love the TBR. I hunt in real hill terrain. As ther have said. Works great in low light. This was the single biggest reason I got it and it did not disappoint.
