I used to make my own lighted nocks for my vertical bow with these . Not sure if they are the same size but may be worth the few bucks to check .

I use the green light sticks which are rated for about 50 hours of use. When I want to practice during the season I just take the light sticks out of the nock and practice away. When it's time to go hunting, light sticks go back in and I'm ready to rock. This saves wear and tear on the lights and makes them last much longer. At 50 hours of use, I don't see me running down a battery for quite a while, unless I had to leave one in a deer overnight due to a poor shot.

I shoot BEE,s so that def helps. Im guessing you would just put the bag over the hole and push the insert down into the arrow with the bag beneath it until its seated and then trim the bag?

This wont get loose over time?

Thanks
I normally put the insert inside the bag and then push it into the arrow but I would assume it would work either way. I have been doing this for 3 years now with different arrows and I have never had one come loose yet. They fit pretty snug with that plastic in there. They are also easy to remove if you like. Just take a small rod and come through your brass insert and tap them out.

Quick query....If one orders orange as SD did...can you later order the green interior and switch out green for orange?....or am I totally missing something here?

You absolutely can change the color light stick out later. The nock itself is clear.

Great...I think I got it and am gonna order a package to try:

From a positive perspective I like the fact that you do not have to have the light stick in to practice and that the light stick can be turned off without an arra puller...

From a negative perspective...I hunt with Murphy and I have 5 thumbs...I can see me unscrewing the nock and the light stick either falling to the ground while lit or in the worst case scenario falling to the ground upon attempting to put it back after extinguishing........and with Murphy kicking the dirt  ....me never being able to find it!!!

Anthony, I think you will find that you really don't handle the light sticks all that often. I practice without them and only put the light sticks in when I am getting my hunting arrows ready. After that they ride around in my quiver until an opportunity presents itself for me to pass one through a critter. The only time I ever mess with one in the field is after I have recovered my arrow to turn it off. If it is cold out and my hands are a little numb, I'll just leave it on until I get back to the truck and warm up a bit.

Makes a lot of sense....now if i can just get rid of Murphy!

What size of Ignitors do you guys use with Firebolts. I measured and they are close to 0.300" id. Got measurements between 0.298"-0.300".

I would like to use the plastic bag method so should I order the 0.285" or 0.295" ignitors to have a nice snug fit?

I was told by the person I spoke to at Nu-Fletch that the .300 will fit...the diameter of the firebolts/diablos/quills are .3015...He told me the .300 WILL WORK...
