the moose we didnt kill

Post by munch »

guys we gave it a real good shot but just could not get them to come in during light. had them close enough to hook the release on the string but they just are not agressive moose in this area .i really think they are lovers not fighters . if you look in the one pic there is the rope my brother used to haul his bow up in the tree to give you an idea how close they where .also look at the time on the small bull pic ,we climbed down about 20.35. very close

I FEEL your Pain!
Wasn't in the cards in Northern BC for us either this season :(
Amazing what a Hot & Dry summer can do in terms of diminishing the success rate.

Will of course be going back down the road...

Nice Pix! Thanks for sharing!!

Cheers,
Nog

Cool pics! One of our guys set up his camera this year for first time. Got some nice bull pics after dark. Same as deer, just pisses ya off see that they are coming around not long after you leave. Once we know they have come in or almost come to us but don't comit, we get out there and move to another spot for 3 days and go back under right wind. That usually does the trick, if not wait three days again, sooner or later they comit.

Love those close calls! Good for some stories and a whole lot less work than actually shooting one!
