The plastic nocks on my Black Eagle arrows were press-fit, so a pair of pliers easily twisted them out. I believe some may be glued, in which case you would probably need to use a heat gun to loosen the bond.

I've seen others on here say really hot water will loosen glue as well. I plan to try it next week when changing nocks and fletching arrows.

I wrecked 3 arrows last week by applying to much heat. I was taking aluminium nocks to install luminocks. When I tried shooting after the install the nock was pushed into the arrow and the carbon was cracked. Was using a small butane torch trying not to get it to hot. Gotta be careful with this procedure.

yesterday, I removed 3 aluminum nocks from the diablo arra'a by
using 2 matches on each knock. just roll the shaft while apply'n the match
while burning. pay attention to always be moving the arra over the flame.

they pulled right out with the t-handle arra puller........... 8)

I don't use the diablo arra's for my matrix380 or vortex.

my grandkids use them for the Barnett jackal with excellent results with 1/2moon lumenocks

Any kind of flame on carbon shafts is a no no. Use boiling water.

Could screw a sheet rock screw into the back of the nock and pull it with pliers..

I used a 1/8" SS welding rod inserted through the BEE arrow and hot water on the nock. A couple of taps on the end of the rod and the old nocks came right off.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered some zombie bolts for my new matrix 405 and came with plastic nocks. After shooting one bolt 7 or 8 shots it busted the nock and splintered the end of the carbon bolt. Thx

not good...but I dont think its the plastic nocks fault. unless of course it was a defective nock.
I like the plastic nocks and I know a lot of guys on here use them quiet a bit.
that nock could have taken a hit from another arrow

That's not it. Only shot that one bolt through my chronograph each time by itself. And made sure it was all the way back before shooting. Now I don't know to pull plastic nock and replace with alum. or not.

check your chrono to see if the back of the arrow may have hit(don't ask how I know)
I see nothing wrong with the plastics but if it makes you feel better then no harm no foul to go to the alumn..

Does anyone else out there shoot plastic nocks out of there matrix 405? Maybe it was just a fluke, don't know. Just don't want to loose anther bolt.
