Turkey Dinner

Post by Hunt it »

Image
I had not bothered with a fall turkey tag last week as weather was not good. With good weather forecast for couple of days I bought my fall tag last night. This afternoon was a beautiful fall day and I left work early and headed for the woods. Climbed into a new treestand I hung couple weeks ago and within 2 hrs I had 15-20 birds under me. A nice 20 yard shot dropped this one in it's tracks and to top it off arrow penetrated above the breast so not even a nick in the breast meat. Third kill for the 380, first one was avatar bull, then spring turkey this year and now this one.
