Just got it
New to this forum. I would like to start out this post by thanking all of you on your input on this forum. It was a tough choice between the 380 and the 405 but after going through alot of post I decided on the 405. Hoping to start shooting bolts through it tomorrow. New to Excalibur family had been shooting Hortons since the 80s. When I purchased the 405 the string was imbedded into the REDs, I have since adjusted that and am sitting about 1/4 inch away from them now. Something I wouldnt have done without reviewing this forum. Hoping for lots of success with this beast. Has anyone tried NAP Hellrazors 125 gr I have killed numerous deer with the NAPs Razorbacks and Thunderheads and not really into the mechanicals. Thanks again for all your post you guys got me hooked on this excal..............

I have not tried many fixed blade broadheads from my crossbows. The ones I have tried have been the 150 grain 4 blade Slick Trick and the 100 grain 4 blade Slick Trick standard. Both broadheads have flown like my field points. I shot the 150's out of my old Vortex and the standards I shoot out of my 355 and my Kodabow Bravo Zulu. I shot the 150's because the factory firebolt arrows did not have a brass insert. I have since switched to BEE arrows with brass inserts and have been shooting 100 grain heads. Good luck with your 405!

Ohio. I just got the same one 405 4 days ago and love it. Smoking accurate and powerful. Killer combo IMHO. Best of luck to you.
