i was decocking and.......WTF !!!

its not like I am new to this.........
always used to grab and pull the string back on my 3 other excals.

but this beast m380 has to be let down with the rope...
I never trusted it anyway

this is the bonified Excalibur cocking rope bought new with the matrix 380
last year.

it happened the second I pulled the trigger.

anyone experienced this ?

i'm inspecting my 380 for any damage.

all I know is my hunt was done

check out the chunk of roller missing on the complete hook.

and yes !!! hooks up, so I could see the string placement in the hooks

yes it did !!! both hooks hit the "Y" right next to the S5's and chipped the aluminum on each side.

that's the $1000 question............
i'd put it toward the rope first and then the impact for the hook hitting the
"Y" broke it. from the marks on the hook and on the aluminum....
the hooks were traveling the pronounced speed of 380FPS....

hey, I make electricity...not a forensic Excalibur tech......
wonder should I claim warranty ?

Gendoc I would send excal customer service a copy of your original post and give them a heads up on this if nothing else i bet you get a replacement rope cocker you may want to replace the rail also they could cover that also i bet, send them pictures haqve it mailed to you swap it out and mail the damaged one back on hunting time lost that way .

yep, your right wabi.....just thought i'd try it since the video and so much
hype about it. and it did work great, sure wish i'd shot my 18/1..its even in the back of the truck !!!! worried now about my matrix380. I don't need any more failures or surprises
to me its a cocking aid, not a decocking device

yes, you must push it in and pull the trigger to decock while you hold the
"cocking aid" in its decocking plan of intension, not again for me brother..............
