EM Micro 335 Chrono Tests

Post by cjonesth »

Got a chance today to test the EM Micro, First test was with a 18" Zombie, aluminum rear nocks, 2" Blazer with right helical, 93 gr. brass insert and 100 gr. field point. Total weight 394 gr. Was getting 324 FPS. Took 18" zombie and cut to 15.5", plastic rear nocks 9 gr., 2" blazers with right helical, front brass insert and 100 grain field point, total weight 370 gr., was getting 334 fps. Sighted in at 20 yards very deadly, trigger very smooth, toying with putting in a 2.5 Hunter TTT. Haven't had the chance to shoot at longer yardages yet, will update when I do.

It is actually quite good I was surprised, very smooth and breaks nicely. On my EM 405, which I bought this fall is also very nice. I have a TTT 2.5 and 1.5 but have not installed in the 405 as I really like the stock trigger. It appears Excalibur has really done a nice job on these latest triggers.

Pretty good speeds Thomas! How do you rate the cocking effort?
It seems to me that they've adopted the 405 trigger for the Micro.

Don I would compare it to be slightly less than EM 380 but only at the last before it hooks the latches. I have a bit of an issue right now as I have to go for a hip replacement but can still manage to practice with the EM 380 and 405 with no problems.

I had the pleasure of trying a camo micro out yesterday @ Northwoods wholsale in Michigan yesterday.

All I can say is it is simply an amazing bow!!

Compact is an understatement. That bow is perfectly balanced & cocking effort is really not that bad compared to my Matrix 355. The 16" arrows look like darts & fly like darts I might add. The sales guy told us all the sales staff is raving about this bow.

Now I want one... LOL

Right now I have cut some Zombie .001 shafts down to 15.5" with total weight of 370 gr. speed 334 fps. I will be playing with it today and will post a pick of the 15.5" loaded on the bow to give you a better idea.

The supplied 16-1/2" arrows with a 150 grain boltcutter comes to the end of the stirrup. Anything longer will extend past the stirrup.
