Doe harvest
I shot this doe about 10 days ago with my Equinox and a 175 gr slick trick she was a good size one 145 dressed about 175 on the hoof I guess.
The hole you see is the exit hole she went about 100 yards I had to find her by flash lite as the shot was at last lite and I always wait an hour after a shot to track.
Great blood trail found her quite easy considering it was dark.

Re: Doe harvest
Just a question? Why do we as hunters call this a harvest? 35 years ago when I started hunting I never heard this term used this way.. We harvested crops like potatoes corn or beans, not deer.
I am not bashing anyone, just wondering what changed......
BTW congrats on the nice deer...

Re: Doe harvest
Well 50 years ago we called it harvest. For both the crops and the Animals of the wild......Whats the big deal ???? And congrats on your harvest.....

Re: Doe harvest
Congratulations on a fine doe. .....I guess we 'harvest' our game because it's a resource we manage and utilize to ensure future sustainability and healthy population (crops).
