SWAMP BUCK

Hi All,

Just got back from Ontario controlled hunt. Like others this was the worse year ever. Three days and my group didn't see anything, with no shots fired in my area. My usual trails had no pix on my cameras. With a little scouting I found some fresh tracks coming out of a swamp, so I placed a camera there. That same night got pix of two does. Set up a high stand 40 yards down wind. The next afternoon after a 4 hour wait in the rain I heard the unmistakeable sound of an animal in water. A solid 10 point finally came out just before legal - I dropped him on the spot. I consider myself very lucky to have taken him. C. O. told me on the way out that numbers are way down due to bad winter. I think coyotes also have had a lot to do with it. I've been seeing and wacking a lot more of them in the last few years. I have pix if someone could post them for me.
