Rusty Slick Trick Ferrules - Updated

Post by cdwester »

Just a heads up, I ordered some new 150 grain X-Box tricks from Amazon and when they arrived the ferrules had some finishing issues and rust. It's only getting worse as they're being exposed to the fall elements. So far Amazon would do an exchange, but haven't heard any response from Slick Trick.

On a side not they fly well up to 40.

Who is the seller? Are they coming out of China? I shot slicks for many years and have never seen one rust?

Got them from Amazon. I've been buying Slick Tricks as well and this is the first time I've seen anything like this. Hopefully it's a one time deal.

Just received an update from Slick Trick. They advised that this was most likely an brief issue with their tumbling process which they had addressed with production. They're in the process up sending new ferrules. Great customer service as always. I'll keep buying them (not that need to replace them very often), and expect this to be a one time deal.

Great to hear Slick Trick backs up their products --- I have had excellent results with their boadheads --

Take the blades out and buff them with steel wool and then wipe with hoppes gun oil ( no scent)
Hunt eat sleep repeat.
