I have the stock 18" bolts that come in the Matrix 380 package and a bunch of Big John 20" bolts.
Other than sticking out 2" further is there much other difference in using 18s or 20s??
I know POI will be different obviously.

Re: 380 bolts...18" vs 20"
I have quite a stash of 20" Firebolts and never got around to cutting them down, so I have hunted with them using 150 gr Boltcutters this season. Accuracy is great, and I've killed 3 deer and a turkey so far.

The only arrows I ever shoot are 20" Easton 2219 alu. They seem to work just fine with no issues.

There may be a huge difference.Knight wrote: Other than sticking out 2" further is there much other difference in using 18s or 20s??
What brand arrow did Big John build you?
What weight is his arrow?
Did he use brass inserts? What is the weight of them?
Which fletching?
What rear insert did he use?
What is the weight difference between the 18" and 20"?
What did you find when you shot them both?
Without any information it is hard to give you an answer using 18's or 20s.
