Got My Micro - Pics vs Vortex

Post by nchunterkw »

Well, Monday I couldn't stand it anymore and ordered a new Micro Nightmare from Danny Miller. And with Danny being Danny, I not only got it in 2 days for a great price, he threw in a Flemish string just because. Great guy that one.

Here are a few pics of it up against my Vortex so you can see the difference. It's huge ( :) See what I did right there)

Pretty sexy on the bison rug, huh?

Amazing!! That the Micro is 5fps faster than the Vortex & look how small it is. Who would have ever thought this was possible.

I shot mine today around 30 times with the stock quills with a great group out to 40 yards. I can't wait to see how it will shooot with some custom zombies!! :)

can someone please post a video of how to 'custom' the zombie bolts?

When you say you were getting great groups out to 40y was it with 100GR heads?

You can order Black Eagle zombie slayer custom arrows from South shore archery in the States.

So far I have been using the stock Excalibur Quills with my 170gr FOC field point practise heads with great results.. I know when I get some good arrows made up my groups will shrink even more...

I am dying to shoot this thing. Just haven't had time the past 2 nights. But tonight is the night. Was up until 12:30 customizing some Zombies myself. The first arrow down the rail will be:

16" Zombie slayer
110 gr brass insert
plastic nock
Rayzr feathers in black, red, white
125gr heads (plan on Slick Track Magnums)

Total Wt ~ 395 gr.
