lighted nocks for quills?

Post by njlungbuster »

What lighted nocks are available and will fit the quill arrows that come with the Micro? I thought I read about it somewhere but couldn't find it again. Also, which ones do you all recommend? Thanks.

Hey Mike....the interior diameter (ID) is .300...Hence,

the Ignitors by Nu-FletchArchery (ID .300 Crossbow) (39gn), and

http://www.nufletch.com/#!online-store/ ... d=38379031

Lumenoks by Burt Coyote (GTF3) 3 pack (28gn).

http://lumenok.net/shop/Crossbow/c4/p35 ... _info.html

...either of these should suit you just fine.

The difference between the two other than their weight difference is the Lumenoks get pushed in, no gluing, but do require a pair of rubber type pliers (Danny Millers arra pliers $18) to extinguish (some sand them down ever so slightly to eliminate this).....and

....the Ignitors (which comes in 3 parts) requires an insert to be lightly glued in to the back of the shaft in which the light stick goes in. The plastic cover (nock) is slid into the insert. Extinguishing is as simple as pulling out the plastic cover nock, taking out the light stick and pulling the light stick by both ends to extinguish and then reassembling....

Hope this helps Mike,

Anthony :)

Mike:

I have been partial to the Lumenoks but will most likely be using the Ignitors on the M335...Flat most certainly...

...there seems to be more people using Lumenoks....but some have been using and loving the Ignitors with more purchasing them during their great Holiday 25% off and free shipping deal.

I am using the Lumenoks & they are working great. However I am using Black Eagle zombies & not the quills for my Micro..

It's flat better for a particular reason? And what were you talking about when you said some guys are sanding the lumenocks down?

... The inside diameter ever so slightly as to not having to use pliers to extinguish!

Reason most guys use flats is that's what Excalibur recommend s and that's what they sell in their packages. Not sure why but they sure do work !

So I was picking up my daughter's new bow today and I picked up a package of ignitors. Got the red. Very easy to pull the stock inserts and put these in. Very bright and super easy. I'm very pleased. Now just gotta get out there and shoot them.

I use the lumenoks and to turn them off I just use a cheap pair of small pliers with some black tape wrapped on the jaws or my teeth. Just bite down with a little twist and pull; no problem lights out.
