FOC again!

Post by SEW »

I'm now 14/14 with FOCs. All down quickly, not all good hits.
I posted a thread entitled "Nice Deer" a couple of days ago. Here's another picture of that deer as it was found. The deer was running, 10-12 yds, rush shot by one of my son's friends (read narrative on the actual thread) . M380 FOCs.

Once again, this isn't my deer or hit. I was instrumental in his getting a M380, FOCs, setting it up, etc, but not in shooting this very nice deer. Be sure to look at the thread "Nice Deer", a few threads down.

Great BH, I'm sold on Rocket Hammerheads 2" cut 3 blade. Very devastating on deer just like yours. If I didn't love mine so much I'd be using your head.

Wow. The would is so large I didn't think it was a deer sized animal.

Surely the hit was at a low angle to cut the way it did. The arrow wasn't found but was in the deer as he ran away. The recovery was 2 days later a long way away. Blood trail all the way but eventually very sparse.

Is that the entry wound in it's neck?

Yes, it's a leaf. I think that huge wound is where the arrow went in, stayed in, for a while, and came out. I've never had a wound entry nor exit approaching that size with any of my 14 kills/FOC nor my son's 5-6 kills/FOC. I know the young man: believe his story. Don't think he threw an ax at it.
