I ordered my Christmas Present

Post by xcaliber »

I finally finished my shopping today with the Queen. She really has no idea what I got her, and I went overboard a bit for her. I paid on this gift for 9 months, and it was worth the extra sweat for her.

OK, now on to mine,
I ordered my Timbertall Brute Lite Climbing treestand!  If you check them out on Youtube, you'll understand why!

Very excited to get this baby. 8)

that seems like it would be a pain in the dark plus it don't bite the tree on the back strap..i posted before about (quick and quiet tree stands) there on the the web..rated for 450lbs..cross tubes run from tree out that's were the strength is earned..if you want to pack lite 12 lbs then the stealth concept is the way to go.

Looks like a great stand and similar base design of the summit viper. I have a great mod for a crossbow / gun holder. Send me over your email address and I'll take a picture and send you the specs.

Thanks, I just got my universal bow / crossbow holder from Third Hand Archery along with the stand stabilizer straps based on Vixenmaster recommendation. They work great folks! :D
My email tab will link you though, and I'll take a look at them.

I have an Equalizer, very nice stand, and safe. I climb over 25' in it and feel safe. It is 22# so I have been looking for something as safe, but lighter, this one seems to be the one. Hope to try it this year still.

Well, got an email this morning from Bryan, the owner of Timber Tall. They are no longer selling stands. So sad to hear this. I did thank him for getting back to me, and I hope someday he can get back into this.

Dan,

Do yourself a favor and order a Summit Viper. They weigh a little more but I can assure you that you will be happy with it.

Well, Santa called me with a sweet offer on a "Demo" that I had to take! Turns out to be a good day for me! I have a Summit, and it is a great stand, but I wanted something lighter with the leveling adjustment feature, this one fits the bill. I tried my buddies out, it is top notch, I also tried out that light weight Summit, and I'm too fat for that one! It looked like that glove O.J. tried on!

Thanks for all the input, PM's, and emails. :D

Merry CHRISTmas all!

Brian called me this morning to let me know he was charging my debit card! :D I hope there is a way that he can put this all back together not only for the consumers, but the folks that worked for him, his own family, etc. When he emailed me to call him, I just wanted to thank him for his dedication, and to wish him well. Somewhere in the conversation he said he would sell me one that he made, but that it would probably be the last. Yes, I wanted a stand, but I was just returning his call at this point, with no idea that I would get one after reading his email.
I will speak again with Brian soon, and hope things look up for him. Until then, thanks, and good wishes,
Dan

Nice, congrats. I have always used a ladder stand or ground blind and doubt I would feel safe in a climber.
