Mirco chat

Post by strum »

well I spent a little time with the micro today ..since I got it I haven't been able to shoot it much so it was nice to sling some arrows :D
I know its been said over and over but the more I shoot the more I love..
I don't have a chrony (yet) but to say these things are slow is way way off.
since we have bows shooting 400+ we forget how fast 300-335 is.
I cant see ever missing a deer because my micro is "too" slow :D
heres something that I found odd but have seen before.
shooting a BEE - 400 gr at 20yd dead in a quarter size spot
then switch to a GTLaser2- 350gr you would think it would hit a little high right?
the lighter arrow shoots low and to the right a bought an inch every time.
go figger

Could be the difference in spine between the arrows.

Recoil effect !? --- Out of a short barrel pistol a heavier bullet will usually shoot higher than a lighter bullet----- hmmm?

I have had mine about 5 days now and I can honestly say it is my new favorite weapon. I can already tell the rest of Urban Archery here in NC I will be using the Micro more than my bow. So easy to maneuver in the blind and stand....super simple to get on target and I love the trigger myself. Waiting on the new Hawke and speed dial ftom HHA to come in and then I will really test it. I am pretty sure out to 80 yards it will be extremely accurate. AND with Keith making me a brand new string and refletching my bolts.....unstoppable!
Will post pics later with top mounted quiver and killer sling thats now mounted.
Impressed to say the least!

My first thought. The BEEs are stiff.

I have given my micro a thorough testing in the thick brush where I hunt , took two deer with it, and decided it is a KEEPER. You would not believe how much easier they are to maneuver in the woods . The only problem I'm having is deciding how to pack my quills ? I may go to a hip quiver
