TACT ZONE VS HAWKE XB1 SR

Post by bubba »

Would like to hear from members who have actually looked thru both scopes and can give there Reviews of each, and of which they prefer.. I have looked at the tack zone, and was not impressed with the optical glass but really found the lighted reticle to be very nice for low light shots. I have a Nikon bolt xr and the glass is of much better clarity than any of the Excal series scopes, any way that's my opinion.. So those of you that have looked thru the Hawke xb1-sr what's your take on the clarity of the glass? thank you ..............

i have a hawke xb1 and a tack zone did not like the fish eye with the tackzone. bought an xb1 and it is awsome . great glass no fish eye. love the green and red setting for lighting and the speed dial to. exspecially the yardage markers in scope from 20 to 100yrds. once scope is dialed in at the right speed she is dead on from 20 to 80 yrds. havent tried 100yrds yet but this year will try. my suggestion is buy one .

I have a Hawke xb30 mounted on my Equinox. It's been a great scope. Only thing better would be a Leupold.

Put a Hawke XB-1 SR on my 380 last spring. Took 3 shots to dial in. Couple more to set FPS. Shot out to 90 yrds... Very happy with results.
Here are the 70 and 90 yrd shots at bottom left target...

I have Leupold scopes on my rifles and love them but put a Hawke on my 380 and it is more than sufficient. Very clear and bright at dusk and dawn and accurate, lifetime warranty... Remember with a crossbow most hunting shots will be under 50 yds. Do you really need to spend $300.00 or more for a scope that is capable of 1000 yd shots.JMO

Thanks all for your info, I'm thinking that the hawke XB1 Sr I" tube or the XB-30 SR compact with the 30mm tube will be the scope for me ..................
