No I think it's a waste of money because the arrow is in the deer already!

Talked with my local shop today , that is all of 20 min from Excalibur and was told he has an order going in tomorrow or monday ? But couldn't give me an answer when they will be on the shelve's ? But I'm curious about them ? I'll drop a set on my 380 for curiosity sake and being off season is when I do to much thinking ? :D
But fun!!

Any edge I can get, I'm all for it.

Especially hunting from the ground and deer that do entire flips at any sound.

My 355 is fast! Deer only reacts after my Hammerhead sails thru him! I like to keep it simple, the less crap on my bow the better!

Maybe record it before and after with your phone or something?
Did that with some limbsaver stirrup dampeners. Zero difference as my phone hears it.

My thought on this is that crossbows are loud. Period. I love them, they shoot our game, and they're tonnes of fun...but they're loud and probably always will be. We still manage to kill our game regardless of this. I just wanted to point out that when we try to make our bows quieter we do it for our benefit, not the animal's benefit. I say this having rhino coated my stirrup and put dampeners on my rail and using a Boo string. All these things are to make shooting my bow more enjoyable for me. If the air brakes reduce noise enough I may try them as well, I'll have to hear some feedback first.

A couple years ago, everyone was tossing out the original DB setup to reduce weight. I don't see the advantage by adding them, there are plenty of older Excal that are, slower and much louder that harvest as well as any of the latest setups.

The Speed of sound travels at 340.29 m/s at 30 m, that would require a reaction time under .0881 seconds, from the time the animal hears and moves. Even at 40 m it's .1175 seconds.

I took em off every excel I owned.. didn't like the up front weight or the fact that you had to remove the pads when letting the limbs relax.
these new one are suppose to be very light so that's a plus and the word is they really do reduce noise without reduced arrow speed.

Upon firing bow will air brakes help reduce stress on bow limbs? If so it may help with the 380 & 405 crossbows. Need feed back as one of these may be coming home with me. Thank You :o
