Post by Archer Ontario »

I own 2 Excalibur Crossbows 1 Excalibur Exo Mag and 1 Matrix 380, love them
My sons buddy was given an old Barnett wildcat 150 lb crossbow for a Xmas gift ,
I need to find out what length the string is what recommended arrows to use and where you can purchase parts the crossbow is missing the sturipp for cocking and Ide like to help him out with a new string new arrows ,
I'm open to any advise
I know it's not an Excalibur but the little guys got no money and is saving to buy a new crossbow but for now any help would be much appreciated ,

If Danny Miller doesn't know off hand, he can find out. If you email me a list of questions, I can get them answered next time I talk to him.
I'm sure that one of his buddys will have parts. At minimum, I can eventually put you in contact with him.

I have shopped there before with no problems . They have the stringing cable as well . If you need limb tips the ones from one of the many Taiwanese wildcat clones should fit and function properly . As for arrows 16"-18" flat nock arrows for the old barnett recurves .

I have a previous generation Barnett Wildcat (all wood stock, made in england) in my collection and just happen to have a spare string,in its tube from way way back in the 80`s.

Looks like I bought it for $5.95

Removed it from its packaging- 25 3/8" total overall length.

Thanks so much for the info ,
25 3/8 string length is right I researched it awesome
Would the 18 inch diablos work for him ? He's shooting 20 inch 2219s but they hang out really far out the front , but I don't like 16 inch bolts but 18s seem the best ,
I am giving him all my 125 gr rage broadheads I just need to clean it up for him and he's good to go,
There saving for a new Excalibur , I let him shoot mine all the time ,
Thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it
