excalibur arrow nocks

Post by archerytho »

I am look at some other arrows. I always rely on the nocks from excalibur, where I can screw in to pull the arrow out.
Anyone know where to get these?

I absolutely do not recommend screwing into the back of the shaft to pull it out but if you must, whichever inserts fit your arrows, use the same as nocks.
You're only paranoid if everyone isn't out to get you.

Assuming you live in the US (you haven't filled in your location), why don't you buy a set of Danny Miller arrow pullers? Not only can you pull arrows but you can turn off Lumenoks and tighten field points.
Many here depend on them.

...true dat, true dat!...a must to have in every archery bag...I must correct Boo however...Danny refers to them as his "arra" puller!

Honestly, I would go with plastic nocks and get the DM arrow puller.

Plastic nocks won't damage the rail, they are lighter and won't damage other arrows when they hit each other during target sessions. When plastics get dinged up, use the DM arrow pullers and remove/replace. As Paul stated, use the same aluminum insert that is at the front of the arrow if you need to use aluminum, but using the threaded arrow puller is a good way to pull out the rear nock...been there and done that.

Good luck with whatever you decide to use!

When aluminum rear nocks get burs after being smacked by another arrow, it can cut the serving or string.

I make sure the nocks on my diablos arent scuffed.
Seing as I do target archery, 90% of the time depending on the target the arrows penatrate almost to the fletch. This is what has stopped me using an arrow puller. Therefore using different arrows.

The arrows from Excalibur are made by Easton, so I'm guessing that you can get it from an Easton dealer.
If you are in the US try Wyvern Creations. http://www.wyverncreations.com/
If my arrows are buried to the fletchings and past into any foam target, all I need is an inch of the shaft to pull the arrow out with the Danny Miller arrow pullers.
Do yourself a favor and fill in your location, it makes it easier for us to help you.

If that Axiom is burring arrows I'd look for another target, my 440 grns out of my 380 don't do that in my targets. I will never use another metal nock of any kind.

Would you think the nocks/ inserts are made by Easton as well. Because I'm fairly sure the power bolts have plastic nocks.
And my location is Australia.
