I prep my all my shafts and vanes the same, regardless of zombies or others. I clean the shafts with acetone and paper towel using a clean part of the paper towel with each swipe until the paper comes clean. Do not touch the shaft where your fletching goes. Set the shafts aside until the odor of acetone is gone to assure there's no residue on the shafts. For the vanes, I set them in my jig and use a brush that comes with the primer I use. The primer is made by Flex Fletch and is called Zing. The primer preps all vanes when using cyano based glues. I dip the brush into the zing and paint the base of the vanes. When dry I apply two to three small drops of G5 Blue Glue and spread it on super thinly with a safety pin or toothpick. Just enough to cover the base...barely. Clamp on vanes and if there's any excess wipe it away. Done.

How do you use the Gorilla Blue Top Super Glue if you are using the Arizona EZ Fletch? I seems to me that it would be impossible to close the vane holders accurately enough .

The EZ works well, just close slowly as stated. It takes a little practice, but very easy. Main thing is keep it clean.
