Turkey vest
I have one but don't care to use it..just seems to be a pain for me .its a cheepy and the gun butt clangs on the shoulder strap buckles.
the seat is held by a magnet and is always falling while walking.
and its not very thick..
the vest is bulky. pockets are hard to get into.
so far it junk for me..so
I just use a fanny pack.
been looking at all the vests out there and my eyeballs are falling out reading and scrolling.
what are yall using ?

Re: Turkey vest
I use the mossy oak super elite . I have a primos vest but still prefer the mossy oak . Better use of pockets and holders for different calls . Not just a big pocket .

Strum, This old Robe wearing turkey hunter uses the Mossy Oak Super Elite too. I think that it is actually made by Russell Athletics. I have 2 of them and one of them has the Russell tag on the inside of the vest.

Hey Stan, Colton has a camo robe you could borrow it.It would be a bit short on you, about the length of a vest though......Well...we may not want to go there.strum wrote:well yall about sold it for me then..i can only get one or two calls in my robe pocketsUPSMAN wrote:Strum, This old Robe wearing turkey hunter uses the Mossy Oak Super Elite too. I recently purchased Cabelas Tactical Tat'r II Kickstand vest off the GON classifieds Strum. It is the cat's meow. I can set up with no tree at all if needed and it has pockets galore.
A brand new one is a tad expensive but it is well worth the $$$$$. Check it out if you are looking for quality.

Re: Turkey vest
I have a vest that Boo gave me many years ago, it has a tremendous amount of pockets. Each pocket is placed well, and sized for turkey calls of every form minimizing movement. But it's easy to lose stuff in it. I can feel a call or tool I need, but it's not always easy to find the pocket it is in.
Quicker hunts I use a Primos bow hunting vest, not as many pockets and it is light to wear. I wear that thing for almost every kind of hunting I do. For turkeys it is a minimalist jacket, perfect for spots I already hunted, but not a lot of room for saws, shears and other large items afyer I get my calls in to it.

It is a little on the heavy side compared to my old vest but I am already used to it after trying it out a few times in the house and out in the yard. The seat is thick enough to actually cushion your butt and all the pocket space is nice. It feels pretty good to me.

I ordered one Robert . I should see it next week . the kickstand sold me. I like the idea of not having to find that perfect tree and I also like that if I know where im hunting and don't need the frame I can leave that part at home.robertyb wrote:strum wrote:Robert those are nice . another of my top picks..tell about the weight ?..does it feel pretty good ? not to bulky?robertyb wrote:I recently purchased Cabelas Tactical Tat'r II Kickstand vest off the GON classifieds Strum.
