ACB Stock Raffle ($2,115 raised to date) (112 tkts)

Post by amythntr »

I have an idea...If I am crazy just shut me down or if ACB does not want to do it or if any animals will be harmed during filming ( ) just let me know...many want to see another ACB's completion of a custom stock masterpiece (present company included)...

Why not have a raffle of say, $x a ticket with winner to get an ACB custom stock at his full retail...with the balance to go to a Boofest Charity. Lets say $5/ ticket...you could buy as many as you want....drawing to take place at Boofest...winner not having to be present...money to be sent to "?" and a list of who, how many and how much put on the forum!

Wha-chya'll think?

I'm in!!!!!

Anthony :)

It sure does add weight. I have an ambidextrous Henegar stock and holding it side by side with one that is for a righty, there is a noticeable difference. Of course, laminates are heavy to begin with, so maybe on aging's stock, it wouldn't be so pronounced.

Bear in mind that someone is going to have to administrate this. So someone has to receive the money, communicate with the senders and of course, keep everyone here on the forum in the loop.
Another question. The blank can easily cost a few hundred dollars. Are you guys expecting that the ticket sales will cover this cost? Who is going to pre buy the blank?
Does the winner pay for shipping?

Yep. I think I read that his stocks start around $600. That would be 120 $5.00 tickets before anything to profit if so.

Been mulling over and would make it 300.00 so at 5.00 per ticket it would be 60 tickets and whatever Don wants to do blanks wise. :D

Great points Don. Also, would the tickets be in CAD or US $$$. Just to throw some ideas out there, perhaps people interested could make there intentions known as to how many tickets they intend on purchasing just so the dollar value does in fact exceed the cost of the stock. Personally,I think it would be fine for the winner to cover the shipping cost to him/her. If this works for everyone I'm in for 5 tickets...for now  I'd sure love to give a home to one of those works of art aging makes.   :D

WOW Aging, what a very generous offer.

EDIT : I think I'll wait until a price has been determined before I commit to the number of tickets I buy...but will certainly be in. .

I say $20.00 per ticket minimum. The winner gets a stock worth several hundred dollars and more importantly, it's a charity for a child.

As far as Canadian 20.00 Versus US 20.00 it is right now 20.00 Canadian would be 15.65 US. To keep it simple we could make it 20.00 for Canadian tickets and 16.00 for US tickets.
Anyone out there want to handle the funds and have the drawing at Boofest? Suggestions anybody??
I nominate ONE SHOT SCOTT so he has to make it this year.
