Re: Bolt thread
If you are talking about the recoil plate screws . They are 10-32.

Are these the bolts you are asking about? The 4 limb strap bolts that are prone to strip everytime!! LOL

Yep those are the ones. The reason Im asking is because Im going to look for a better replacement. I had to hacksaw them off my micro to put on the air brakes and I don't want to ever have to that again.

Re: Bolt thread
I would think it would be nice to have one with a hex bolt head...

Re: Bolt thread
those are limb recoil plate screws. some models have screws with threads the full length of the screw and others come in a shoulder bolt type that you just tighten til they bottom out. the full thread type i only tighten enough to make the rubber squish out the sides a bit. ive found the best way to get any of the screws off the Excaliburs is to use proper tight fitting allen socket bits and a 1/4 drive wrench. if you use a worn bit things can get ugly. i usually put the bit on the screw head and by hand feel if there is too much wiggle room. if it doesnt feel right its either a wrong or worn bit.allen keys can make a mess of a screw sometimes.
