Matrix 330 arrows and nocks
Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to this site and I need some input from everyone who owns a Matrix 330. I recently purchased a 330 and I would like to know from everyone what brand arrow (bolt) you are using and how long, type of nock and insert, your total arrow wt. your speed and fletching your are using. Your input will be very helpful in trying to find out what arrow I need.... Thanks Bill

Give either Danny Miller from Horizontal archery or Jerry from South Shore Archery a call they will set you straight.chilly_willy wrote:Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to this site and I need some input from everyone who owns a Matrix 330. Re: Matrix 330 arrows and nocks
I am using the Diablo arrows that came with my 330. I would like to have a few more myself and would probably buy the same as what I have. Then put a few broadheads on a couple of them for who knows what.
I have gotten to aim and shoot at different spots on the target, four at a time. Some shots just a little too close together.
Go get'm come back and do it again.
The specs say 350-375 grains total weight. From the 2014 Excal manual.

Danny Miller or Wyverns offer some good arrows. I went with the executioners and just love them. If you go with the arrows that come with your 330 I believe you need to use heavier tips or broadheads. With weighted brass inserts you can use regular tips and broadheads. And these bows use flat nocks.

I had great accuracy and success on five deer this season with Black eagle executioners at 18" 110 grain brass insert and blazer vanes out of my 330. The only problem I found was the rage crossbow-x broad heads I use extend pass the stirrup when cocked. It became a issue every time I set the stirrup down while hunting (Habit from years of crossbow hunting). Instead of cutting arrows I extended the stirrup a inch.

I shoot the factory 18" Black Eagles with the 90 grain inserts and 2" blazer vanes in my M330 and they shoot great. Got them off eBay at a pretty good price with free shipping. I am now shooting some of South Shore Archery's 17" Spynal Tapps with the 55 grain inserts (old style Tapps) and love them. They also shoot great.
I prefer 17" arrows from my M330 as my broadheads stay inside the stirrup where they belong. On the 18" arrows they stick out almost an inch past the stirrup.

Re: Matrix 330 arrows and nocks
My wife has a 330 that punches above it's weight class .
Here is my arrow recipe: 17" zombies, 2" blazers, aluminum insert, 170gr field point, Lumenock. Total arrow weight is 395 grains.
The broadheads we will use this year, (slick trick 175s or the FOC), fit nicely within the stirrup with that 17" arrow. FWIW, I did find my 50y groups were a little bit tighter with 18" arrows. I suspect the longer arrow is better for longer ranges. From 0-45y, the 17" can hang with the 18", but beyond that my groups have opened up a bit.

I like 20" BEEs with 2" blazers. brass inserts and Lumenoks . you just have to settle in what works for you. JMO.
