Micro 335 VS Matrix 355

Post by wvnitroman »

I stopped at Cabela's again today to shoot the Matrix 355, I did not shoot it the last time I was there. Long story short, two of the three guys at Cabela's love the Micro 335 so I shot it again, they both shot excellent. I like the size of the Micro but I like the way the 355 draws easier and smoother. I much prefer the Tact-Zone scope on the 355 to the one on the Micro. I hunt West Virginia and Ohio Whitetails from hang on treestands and portable ground blinds. This is my first crossbow purchase so I would appreciate some input from you guys about some pros and cons on both crossbows. You all have a wealth of great information.

Thanks and God Bless,
Kevin

You wont go wrong with either,
I personally like the micro the best.. its got all the power youll need and just feels
the best in my hands. for the tree stand the Micro has the most maneuverability. The scope is fine but most of us have upgraded to something else. Im using a Nikon Bolt(which i love) and many on here use the Luepolds or Hawkes

I own both, the Micro is really a great model. The 355 is easier to cock certainly has more power n is outright faster in speed. The 355 is my all around choice of the newer Excal models

Not even close for me...The Matrix 355 is hands down the best bow in the Excalibur line. The only one close the 380.....

Resale on the micro will be a lot higher, and it comes with the cheekpiece, REDS and ADF which are optional equipment on the 355 but standard on the Micro. I wouldn't think twice on this one, Micro all the way! Now if we were debating between a 380 or 405 and Micro, I'd go with those Matrix models over a micro.

simple just get both  n kiddin... i would say if your looking for a hunting tool to hunt out of climbing stands or long walks through nasty tangles the smaller Micro is gonna be a little nicer. my Micro isint a fun all day shooter for me.i even had a Micro rail shortened an inch for my wife and these little Micros are still a tough pull the last1- 2 inches of draw. my Matrix 355 does cock a little easier. see how they feel in your hands and go with what you like,

This is true what Racking up points says about the 355 coming without the a.d.f. redds, and cheek rest. I also use to say the same thing, you save money going with the 380 and get all the above..You will also get a crappy scope, the tac-zone. But now you can buy the bare bones 355 from David at Wyverns, add a decent scope and baby bumpers, and come out spending less money, and have a great package.. The 380 matrix is special though. ... These two bows next to the 335?? For me? It's not even close.............

Had a 355 and liked it. Traded it in towards a 335 and LOVE IT! And the 335 is shooting the same speed that the 355 was

That i'm sure is the case for you. But my 355 shoots 365 with a 350 grain arrow, and 358 with a 365 grain arrow, have yet to see any 335 match that. And 0 issues with limbs or any problems for that matter. Just saying...

Matrix 355 without question. Plenty of power for anything and properly balanced.

I bought the combo, first thing I did was sold the Tact-Zone scope and Excalibur rings for Leupold scope and Leupold rings.

Swapped the stock string for a custom flemish string and added Danny Miller's bumpers. Also added the cheek piece.

I use Easton 2219 aluminum arrows vs Excalibur carbon arrows too.
