Any issue with this arrow recipe for my micro? THANK YOU!!!

Post by Chefrific »

Here is the arrow configuration I'm considering for my micro. Are there any issues with this? Recommend changing anything/everything?

Black Eagle Zombies - 16.5"
Spine matched to +/- .0025 deflection
Flat plastic nocks
Vane setback 1"
Blazer 2.0 vanes (right hand helical orientation)
92 grain brass inserts
arrows weight matched +/- 1/4 grain
Shooting 125 grain heads/points

They all look like solid components that should make a great arrow for the Micro... I would not change a thing.. hmm maybe the plastic nocks to aluminum or a Lumenok, but that is just me..

Good luck with this set up..
Matrix 380 Xtra with Vortex Viper XBR, Trigger Tech,
Matrix 380 Xtra with Vortex Viper XBR, ^^^
Matrix 380 Blackout with Vortex Viper XBR,
Micro 335 Raid with HHAv Vortex Crossfire II Pro Grade trigger

X2...agreed on everything else...run your information through the Golden Tip Arrow Calculator on their website for weight weight, FOC and KE...

...the bottom line is what your bow likes to eat not what others think!

Yep! The only thing I personally would change is the length, I hang my bow by the stirrup when in the stand hunting and like a bit of room for clearance. I went to 15", and aluminum rear nocks for pulling the arrows out of the target.

Thanks to all of you for help! Knew you guys would come through with some solid advice.
Shooting 100 grain heads certainly opens up the broadhead market substantially. Just trying to get ready for deer season.
Only six weeks and two days until archery season opener here!

Just got in my arrows from southshore and went with the recommendation to shoot 100 gr points and it's the best groups I've ever shot from a crossbow! Micro is shooting less than 1" groups at 50 yards.
Thanks above to awshucks and everyone for your advice on my arrow setup!
