what brace height did you choose on your matrix?

Post by SLP82 »

What do yall set your brace height at on the matrix series? Owners manual says 1/2 to 1 inch. My grizzly string was installed on my limbs from factory and set to 1 3/8 inch. I moved it to 1 inch. Also just curious what exact procedure yall use to adjust string?

to adjust the brace height remove one end of the string and twist it up to tighten it ,if you are not going to shoot it for a little while you can twist it up a little tighter to let it stretch well sitting ,,as long as it is close to the line on the rail or just off the bumpers you are good to go ,just remember a new string will stretch a lot and will have to be twisted after a few shots until it settles ,D

On my Matrix 380 I have the REDs bumpers so I maintain a brace height of 1/4 -5/16 of an inch off the REDs bumpers. I check the brace height before every shooting session and during to maintain a minimum of 1/4 inch. As stated above it is very simple to adjust by twisting the string several rotations.

I set at 1" rail riser joint, and never let get to 3/4". My speeds seem to get more consistent on both my 380's at 1" usually less than 1fps extreme spread, .5 to .8 usually in a 10 shot string, @ 3/4" it's more like 1.5 fps or a little more.

My Micro 3/16" to 1/8" above the rail mark

There are no marks or lines on my grizzly rail and it doesn't have bumpers on it either :)

For some strange reason my Cub-Pow likes a longer brace height,,,It is faster at 1.5 " BH,,,than it is a 3/4 to 1" BH  :?:
