Camo on limb tip??

Post by flinthead »

I noticed about a week ago the camo has "Chipped" off showing a white line around the base of my left limb tip on my 355,,, it's only on the back (string side) of the limb tip. Anyone else seen this??

So far mine is ok.. Wonder what Excalibur will do? More than likely tell you to get a light green marker and touch it up.....

Ok I cocked it with the stringing aid to take pressure off... the tip is tight as Dick's hat band. I pulled and wiggled as hard as I could and it's not loose at all,,, maybe just a sharp place for the camo dipping to stay on??

I am having the same problem with my Matrix 330 on both tips, I took the string off and there doesn't seem to be any play in the tips. I emailed Excal but have not heard back. Hopefully it's just cosmetic but it would be good to know either way.

That cracking in the finish around the limb tip is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about. As you have astutely done so, it's a good idea to take the load off the tips by using the stringing aid and then gripping the limb tip to see if there's any play. If there is, you have a warranty issue, if not...get a sharpie and fire away! If anyone isn't sure about this, post a picture here and someone could help. I had this very minor defect on my wife's Matrix 330 and it's no worse for wear.

If the limb tips are not loose then it could be simply the camo finish normal shrinking. Just keep an eye on things. Borrow some eyelash color from the better half and hide the white.

I have the same thing on my 330 and questioned Peter about it.
as racking up points stated..... it is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about as long as it is not loose.

Mine has been like that for 2 years now , no problem as yet . my 380 is the same way , no problem with it either. don't hurt to check it once in a while.
