Two options; First, Member Boo does super trigger jobs on Excal crossbows. Contact him for info.
Second, TriggerTech Triggers makes an awsome replacement trigger. Single stage or two stage, breaks like glass, and much lighter than factory.
Both are good options. You will be impressed either way. :)

TT also makes a 1.5 pound 2 stage target trigger but inventory numbers may be limited in this model.

if I were to have a trigger job done, by all means,,,Boo would do it !!

a good friend of mine spent a lot of $$$ on TT trigger and its about as close to the factory trigger if you do the "safety creep reset" that most of you guys here know what I'm talking about.

and a member I know here has had boo do his and without a doubt....
its the best $$ spent for the knowledge and end result.

its up to you......hope you find happiness............

Was just wondering what trigger is in the Matrix 405's. Is it a TT or a factory trigger???

Interesting. Guess I got in on it at just the right time. The TT Target Trigger currently in my Matrix 380 is a Single Stage 1.5 lb trigger. Took only a little to get used to, and proved Deadly for last year's hunts!

Really LIKE their 2.5 lb two stage Hunter too though. Difference between these and the factory issue is Night & Day!

Do the TT triggers remove the creep? The 380 trigger seemed lke it had much less creep than my equinox. What is the stock trigger weight? Guess I just need to shoot a TT trigger to see what a good crossbow trigger feels like.

I have both. I've had the tt 2.5lbs two stage and went to the 1.5lbs two stage target trigger ×2. I also have the Boo trigger job triggers. A properly functioning tt trigger is hard to beat and if you have any issues they will be dealt with. As mentioned, a Boo trigger is less than half the price and you will not recognize it as the same trigger.
....neither the tt trigger or BOO trigger have any perceived creep.

I love my single stage TT trigger and I have already decided if I buy another Excal, just order the TT trigger at the same time. Easily one of my top three triggers in my stable.

Yepper! The SS/TT in my 330 is sweet, I like the 2S/TT in the 355 as well, but the single stage is the sweetest!
