SONORAN BROADHEADS

Post by STEELWORKER »

i have shot SONORAN BROADHEADS out of my vertical bow for years with lots of success. these broadheads have a shrink band that secures the blades in flight. i just bought an EXOMAG and am worried that the band will fail in flight considering the power these things have. just wondering if any of you guys have tried these broadheads or any other mechanical blade that uses a band type securer. thanx, any tips will be appreciated!

Correct me if I am wrong because I cant say from personal experience but I have read that some will double the bands to ensure that they will not open in flight.

If memory serves me correctly, Bill T chimed in on this at one time and said that doubling up on mechs with the Exomag and Exomax was very important.

I use the wasp jackhammers 100 grain!

Doubling up has never crossed my mind.

Do you think it is necessary?
