RamCat Broadhead

Post by kevyaggs »

Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the RamCat Original Broadhead and the new Crossbow Broadhead? Has anyone used the RamCat Broadhead on their crossbows?

I have shot a ton of fixed blade heads over the last several
years and the Ramcats fly the best of any head i have shot!
I have a HHA optimizer on my 380 and the ramcats shoot dead on
with the fieldtips out to 80 yards..

my understanding is the crossbow head is just a 125gr head marketed with "Crossbow". That's what the owner told me at the Dixie Deer Classic earlier this year.

There is a post on another Forum testing several heads, and the Ram Cat's did very, very well in all categories!

I have never tried them but they are one mean looking sticker. I like the idea of front and back of blades are sharpened. But i've heard like posted the blades bend and break easily. Think i'll use what i got, Till i see more reviews...

I have just used the 100gr regular heads.. The blades are
A little thin on the ends and will curl some when shot threw
Heavy bone but they will penatrate very well and like i said
They shoot great even at long distance which i couldn't get
from other fixed blades.. Give em a try and i think you will
Like em..

Replacement blades are very reasonably priced, and if they work as well as the reports say I will be using them this year. A lot of the most accurate broadheads I have used need replacing after passing through a rib. I can handle replacing the blades after each harvest if they fly the same as my field tips.
