Norman, I liked your wife very much right away, I now have an even greater respect for her. You apparently got the special edition!

To answer your question Anthony one thing that comes to mind is my Tikka T3 in .308, they guarantee 1"or less. Best group at 100' is .28", worst group was .86" through 4 different factory ammo's(before i started reloading). Made be buy a another TIkka for my daughter in .243 with similar results, she averages right around .6"

If we are going to mention firearms then I'll throw out two that I'm very impressed with and perform way above my initial expectations.

1. My Remimgton 700 with a Leupold 3 1/2 x10 in "300 Remington Ultra Mag".. I have found nothing at 800 yards or less that walks away when hit in the boiler room. ( 180 grain Nozler Partition at 3100 fps. )

2. My Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry ll has turned out to be the best carry gun I can emagine with it's 8 round total capacity, while being comfortable and concealable ......with it's 3" barrell, 25oz. empty, is the most accurate 45 acp I have ever encountered. Past pistols include a National Match, and 2 other colts , as well as 3 previous Kimbers... It has alot to due with the Factory "Crimson Trace" grip with it's built in lazer as well as set of Night Sites I had installed by Kimber. :D

I also have a glock 19 as a close second.... you never no what kind of varmint (2 or 4 leg) may be responding to your elk call ?

BTW a followup shot is way faster than with my M-355.

SC, I've got one in 22-250 and it's a tack driving machine. The factory trigger was so good that it's the only rifle I own without a custom trigger. It's a coyote killing machine.
