What have you found to be "as advertised?"

Post by amythntr »

.... Since a recent post has offered some concern over Excalibur not matching advertised speeds... What have people found that either match or exceed what manufacturers tell us to expect...

....please, this is NOT meant to criticize anyone... I am really curious myself...let's try to stick with verifiable comparisons, not personal opinions!

Seems bow manufacturers advertise speeds the same way car manufacturers advertise gas mileage :?

Well, my Ibex exceeded the advertised fps, so did my Micro. My Matrix 330 is spot on, and if you do all the draw weight, and length deductions correctly, my 3 Hoyt bows were right on. My 355, and Vortex fell a bit short, not complaining, and my Mathews had no chance of getting close, even I was in a dragster when I shot it!

Well i hope you don't mind me posting on your thread? But i have one that comes to mind. I have always been a Luminox watch fan.Bought my first 35 years ago. Anyway when i retired in 1999. My wife said i could buy me the top of the Luminox , A all titanium band and cased in a solid titanium back. And it was Advertised that the battery would last 8 years, and the illumination on the hands and dial 10 years..Well the battery lasted 12 years before i replaced it. And the illumination is still going strong after 16 years..Is this what you are looking for as an example?....

I received a Flavorwave Oven as a gift...I'm a bit of a foody. Well, it's a countertop product that cooks using infrared, conduction and convection. It claims to cook food faster and seals in the juices. This product has met all claims and has earned a spot on the spam counter. That's saying a lot because my wife likes everything put away and spic and span.
