Post by Big Woods »

I believe I have a cracked limb right where the right tip is glued on. Can I just contact Danny Miller directly to initiate service?

Thanks!!

As I said in the other thread, post a picture. Posting a picture will enable the people who you are asking to help you, to be able to see if it is a crack or not.

Without posting a picture, it would be impossible to say for sure what your issue is. But what you described in another thread is probably not a necessary warranty return because it not a crack, it is somewhat common for the finish around the limb tips to crack, but it's just poor adhesion of the film in the dip process, and nothing structural to be concerned about, (assuming you have a camo bow, but you didn't give us the info).

I am sure they will still honor just about any return, but you might not need to have the downtime. If this IS your issue, it can be fixed with a sharpie.

Just a head's up Danny doesn't read the forum and there is a yellow Customer Service tab at the top of the homepage that will get you squared away faster than a phone call.

Im with Derrick on this. Sounds like the finish came off the excess glue surrounding your limb tip. Both my tips are as you describe one more then the other. Shoot and enjoy save yourself the downtime.

Well I'm not sure if it is actually structural or not but it sure shouldn't look like it does. It didn't look like that a few days ago and it's only a year old so I'm sending it back. Not sure how to post a pic.

Thanks for your responses!

As I said in the other thread, mine has been that way for months and is only cosmetic.
Excalibur will change them out for you, but when I called them I was told not to worry as it is only cosmetic from the paint cracking around the tip.
If the tip seems loose at all, then you will need to be concerned, but I doubt that is the case.

If you need warranty work Danny can handle it for you. Call him at 740-483-2312 and he will give you his address so you can ship the limbs. I do not bother contacting Excalibur for a limb swap when a phone call to Danny does it.
