So what is the main difference in a Flemish string and and endless loop type?

The endless loop is made with a continuous strand of string wrapped around posts then twisted and served on the ends and middle. Yes, this is very simplified. The Flemish is made with X number of independent strands twisted together to form one string and is only served in the middle.
The Flemish is much gentler feeling with less perceived noise and vibration. I recommend using the Flemish as it's nicer to shoot and just looks way cooler.

X2, they are stronger in the loop as well.

X-2 As Paul said Flemish strings...Can and is a very important factor in the fine tuning of your crossbow. At least for me anyhow..With the options of a custom Flemish, you can try different string materials, mess around with strand counts, can make a big difference in the performance of your bow, speed wise, vibration noise, and the look's, Pretty, Pretty. It took me awhile before i found the perfect combination's that fit me and my bows. Hope i have not confused you to much. With my rambling.....

Last night after many questions I ordered a custom flemish string from 8ptbuk. I'm really looking forward to coupling that with the custom Spynal Tapp bolts I just ordered from Jerry at South Shore Archery.

Spynal Tapp 314gr 18" Bolts

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

It is recommended that an ADF be installed before using custom flemish strings as it will help protect both you and your limbs in case of an accidental dri-fire.
And the sound of a dri-fire without an ADF installed is both cringe worthy and heart wrenching.

Yes, I speak from experience

Mississippi has an ADF on the Micro, unless he bought one that was hacked!

That is good to hear. It is not a matter of if you dry fire, but when. I swore I would never do it, and I have a few under my belt now. Luckily it was 175# Ibex, and it survived without issue. I don't think the little hyper model will make it!

Yeah 270 lbs of force would probably blow it up.

I have one of his strings... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. He's a great string maker. And if you got the whiskers it looks so much better

Can't say enough good things about the string makers here. I am looking to try my hand at it but feel daunted now that I see the pro's work..
