Rotating string?

Post by Chefrific »

How often are you guys rotating your strings? And... should this change my point of impact?
I'm using one of Danny's flemish strings on my micro, and noticed that when I rotated my string, I had to adjust my scope a bit to get it dialed back in.

should not of made any diff. check all of your mounting screws for your scope . just a little lose will make a diff. I found that is 95% of most scopes problems . you might want to try some BLUE lock tite . just a little dab will do it.

Scope is rock solid. I did use the blue thread locker. Had it zeroed, but after I rotated the string and shot again, I shot 2" left and 1" low. Adjusted scope and Zinging zero all day long again.
Just found it odd that rotating the string would make such as difference.
I didn't add any twist or change brace height.

I had no idea that you had to rotate the string at all. Geez, the stuff you learn.

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

You do not have to rotate your string but it will help increase the life of the string.

I rotate my string about every 100 shots to keep the serving wear even. Never had it affect my poi and can't really see how it could.
I simply rotate the string 1\2 turn the same direction on both ends.

If the serving is showing excessive wear on one side I suppose it could affect it, in which case you should probably polish your claws.
